That is the key question that I have. Linux, for me, is not simply something to tinker with (though I am a tinkerer) - I want it to be my main system. I dislike Windows and Mac for many reasons : both for usability and moral reasons. But Linux has had problems making the transition to the mobile world. In my evaluation, I will look at the amount of truly stupid things in the distro. Some distros will be too stupid and won't even reach the configuration stage. Some will be fully configured before I realize how stupid they are. Some, no doubt, I will become ingrained in using even though they are stupid. I do not guarantee staying up to date or being fair and balanced. The Five Most Important PointsThe most important things for me at the moment are the following list of core components.
