RemovePulseI'm sure somewhere, someone has a use for the Pulseaudio sound server, but I have only ever seen one computer on which it worked correctly (it was a Dell). In most instances, it either completely doesn't work (our apartment desktop computer) or it really fouls up things (like the builtin microphone on my newest lappy). If you have sound problems and you've tried playing with all the different servers and settings, try removing pulse. There's a great resource I've used here and the following is a fast how-to summary of accomplishing it. |
